Interesting

because you jump from one site to another, this reminds me of orange’s balloon race campaign. though this doesn’t seem to be quite as fun, the fact that when you tweet about a particular site, some design gets drawn onto that site’s page is very interesting. how does this work kaya? and perhaps more importantly, where do you think we can use this? :D

First Time

The first time I stepped into Ogilvy, I knew one thing. I will never wear red inside the office.

Now, two years after that first time, I am still not wearing red. But there have been a lot of other first times (sorry, I will not elaborate on the details here) and right now I feel like celebrating that because, at last, we’ve launched our first ever internally-developed Facebook Application and Desktop Widget! :)

Yes, of course this is another launch announcement :)

First Facebook App

Rexona sports application

Test Your NBA Skills with the Trivia Slam

Through the efforts of Allan, Mike, Brandon, Gelo, Mika, Chot and Dino, we’ve finally launched our first Facebook game! The Rexona Trivia Slam will let you test your NBA wits against the shotclock. I personally suck at it, but maybe you’ll have better luck ;)

While you’re at it, you can get sports updates and news (yipee) by being a fan of the Rexona Sports Fan Center.

First Desktop Widget

Destress and Escape to Nature

Aithne, Mick, Bonnie, Pocoy, Gelo, Mika and Chot all worked together to come up with a great desktop widget that lets us escape to nature. Unfortunately, most of you on PCs won’t be able to download it without the help of IT because of admin rights, but Mac users should be okay :) BUT, it’s worth the download, promise! Ask IT to temporarily give you admin rights and download the Escape to Nature Application (it’s actually the Adobe Air that needs Admin rights).

If you really don’t want to download the application, there’s a web-friendly version right at the Rexona Naturals I <3 Nature fanpage.

There you go.

PS: If you want hear something more racy about first times, perhaps you’d be better off here.

SAMSUNG SHAKEDOWN
1. Call any one of the mobiles on the table. Watch how the vibration makes the mobile move.
2. If your call causes a mobile to fall over the table edge – you win that mobile.
3. After a mobile has fallen onto the floor or into the water tank, people could still call it to check that it worked.

Nike Breaks Own Viral Record

1 comment 28 May 2010 Under: Campaigns, YouTube

ISA: We should set a target to get our work on the AdAge Viral video chart. Kaya yan, 500k views in 1 week.
NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Nike isn’t an official World Cup sponsor, but its three-minute “Write the Future” video broke the record for the biggest audience in the first week of a campaign with 7.8 million views. That record, incidentally, was by another Nike ad: the somber and strange “Earl and Tiger” ad, which debuted earlier this year with 6.3 million views in its first week.
Nike’s World Cup ad started a cast of international soccer stars including Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Franck Ribery and Christiano Ronald. (Mr. Rooney is shown a future living in a trailer if he fails to catch Mr. Ribery steaming toward England’s goal.) As the chart from Visible Measures shows, the video truly has international appeal.

nterestingly, Pepsi also is not an official World Cup sponsor, but its “Oh Africa” has spent seven weeks on the Viral Chart.

YouTube is the platform that makes video powerful for viral ads like Nike’s, so fitting on the week of its 5th birthday, YouTube landed its own ad on the chart, “YouTube Turns Five.” Seven of the entrants this week are chart veterans, including Toyota, Old Spice, Evian, Gillette and Microsoft.

No. 10 is another newcomer, Canada’s Fortnight Lingerie, with an example of an ad you probably wouldn’t see on TV. It’s almost not-safe-for-work content is excused somewhat by a public service in the form of a refresher course on CPR.
